New Editor for triple j magazine

News Custom Publishing (NCP) has appointed Jaymz Clements to the role of Editor at triple j magazine. Jaymz has taken over the role from Jenny Valentish.

“I’m so excited at the opportunity to work with an entity like triple j, one that has meant so much to so many,” Jaymz said.

“Along with generations of other Australian music lovers, I grew up with triple j. So I’m over the moon to be able to work as part of the team at triple j magazine and continue to spread the station’s ethos of ‘We Love Music’. I personally love music more than Andrew W.K. loves to party – so it’s a great fit.”

With a background of eight years at street press publisher Furst Media – including over three years of experience as music editor of Melbourne’s music weekly Beat and having headed up custom published titles such as General Pants:Our People and STU.

“Jaymz’s experience across both the music and custom publishing industries will boost triple j magazine’s great work in showcasing the best music from Australia and abroad – helping people discover new music through triple j and triple j magazine,” said Jo Schulz, NCP’s Head of Content.

The first edition under Jaymz’s helm will be the September issue, on sale August 24.
